About WMSE
91.7 FM WMSE made its modern debut on Milwaukee radio in 1981 as part of MSOE (Milwaukee School Of Engineering). An alternative to commercial radio, the station changes formats every 3 hours and offers a diverse mix of music, including blues, reggae, dance, industrial and more!

The station is now independent of MSOE, supported by its listeners with bi-annual pledge drives and benefits. In 1999, the station moved into a new cutting edge facility and began streaming its signal on the internet. In 2006, the station celebrated its 25th anniversary. Programs on WMSE regularly show up on ratings figures gathered by commercial radio stations.
